ALPHA-AERO DRAPERIES was established in 1968 by Milt and Al Bruckner in Uncasville, Connecticut, as a decorative fabric store. The business quickly moved from fabrics to custom window treatments, upholstery and slipcovers until Milt retired in 1978. Al took the business thru many phases selling furniture, carpet, paint, and wallpaper. In 1985, Al decided to get out of all other business except the window treatment business and to specialize in this one feeling better to one thing better than anyone else rather than being mediocre by trying to do to many things. In 1996 we relocated to our present NIANTIC location where we have 5000 sq. ft. of show room, office and warehouse space in the Midway Shopping Plaza on route 161 in Niantic, CT.
Alpha-Aero
is actually 2 different companies now known as ADI. Alpha is primarily a
commercial and contract company servicing a territory of CT, RI, and Western
Mass. where we do new construction and rehabilitation projects for schools,
office buildings, banks and any type of project you can think of specializing
in jobs like all types of motorized window treatments.
Alpha-Aero Draperies is primarily into residential and office window fashions thru-out South Eastern CT. Don't be confused over these differences this is mostly an internal separation our original name sake Aero Draperies is a large company in the mid-west who gave us permission to use their name because we were their largest distributor in New England.
Unlike other companies in the window fashion business ADI does not make any of the products it sells but we service and warranty every product we sell. We use top of the line professional manufactures most products are purchased direct from the original manufactures (not middle men) like LEVOLOR, LOUVERDRAPE, GRABER and HUNTER DOUGLAS and our own local drapery workroom. We also hire and train all of are own uniformed installers. By buying direct as we do you save money no duplication of inventories, personnel and overheads, this way you get the manufactures warranty that extends ADI's some products like LEVOLOR for your life time.
